Mini 4 Pro vs Mini 3 Pro: Camera Performance

Camera Sensor

Both the DJI Mini 4 Pro and Mini 3 Pro feature 1/1.3” CMOS camera sensors. These sensors are paired with 24mm equivalent f/1.7 lenses for capturing stunning shots.

While on paper, it may look like the Mini 4 Pro hasn’t received an upgrade in the sensor department, it has in fact received a significant performance boost.

Mini 4 Pro vs Mini 3 Pro: Flight Performance

Battery Life

Both the DJI Mini 4 Pro and DJI Mini 3 Pro boast a maximum flight time of up to 34 minutes when paired with their respective Intelligent Flight Batteries. This allows you to effectively fly and create for over half an hour off a single full charge.

Both drones also support a Plus battery variant for increased flgiht time. However, due to its greater power consumption, the DJI Mini 4 Pro gets slightly less flight time out of the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. This results in a diminished flight time of up to 45 minutes compared to the 47 minute max flight time of the DJI Mini 3 Pro.

If you’re fully focused on enjoying the longest flight possible, the Mini 3 Pro is best for maximising flight time although the overall difference in flight time is negligible for most pilots.

Note: DJI Mini 4 Pro supports the DJI Mini 3 Series Intelligent Flight Battery, however use of this battery will cause the drone to exceed 250 grams.

Intelligent Flight

DJI Mini 4 Pro also introduces Waypoint and cruise control flight options for the first time of a Mini series drone.

You asked for it, now it's here! Take the guesswork out of flying with Waypoint and pre-plan your flight plan before you take off with Mini 4 Pro.

ActiveTrack

The introduction of ActiveTrack 4.0 on the DJI Mini 3 Pro was a revelation for many pilots. It was the first time DJI’s advanced Follow Me technology appeared on a Mini series drone and quickly became a key selling point for the drone. However, at the time of release, ActiveTrack 4.0 was a feature that pilots were already familiar with, having appeared on other drone models.

DJI Mini 4 Pro switches things up by introducing an entirely new form of ActiveTrack: ActiveTrack 360°
