FPV Drone
Feel Every Flight
DJI Avata 2 combines intuitive FPV control, an integrated propeller guard, and a 155° ultra-wide camera for close, fast-moving perspectives.
Fantastic FPV Flight
DJI Avata 2 places a 1/1.3-inch sensor behind a 155° ultra-wide lens and records up to 4K/60fps HDR or 4K/100fps slow motion. RockSteady and HorizonSteady turn high-speed lines into footage that remains usable after the flight.
Outdoor FPV rules in Australia differ from standard drone flying. If you plan to fly using goggles, check whether you need an approved flying site or CASA approval, and review local airspace requirements before take-off.

Shape the Speed in Camera.
Each capture mode solves a different part of the FPV workflow, from wide spatial context to stabilised delivery and flexible colour.
4K/60fps HDR
Record high-speed lines with detailed highlights and shadows under DJI’s supported HDR settings.
4K/100fps Slow Motion
Stretch fast passes and direction changes into smoother, more readable action sequences.
RockSteady
DJI’s electronic stabilisation reduces shake during fast flight and in windy conditions.
HorizonSteady
Keep the horizon level through supported turns and rotations, including horizontal rotation up to 360°.
155° Ultra-Wide View
Pull the environment into frame for a stronger impression of proximity and speed.
10-bit D-Log m
Retain more tonal and colour information for balancing highlights, shadows, and mixed scenes in post.
A Full Loop from One Command.
With DJI RC Motion 3, one-push Power Loop accelerates DJI Avata 2, sends it into a climb and inversion, then brings it back down through a complete loop.
The manoeuvre has a fixed speed and 5-metre radius that cannot be changed, with a minimum effective height of 1.5 metres. Keep the entire route clear before triggering it.
Three Ways to Change Direction Fast.
Rotate through a 360° flip to add a compact change of direction to the sequence.
Front or Back Flip
Rotate through a 360° flip to add a compact change of direction to the sequence.
Choose How You See and Control the Flight.
DJI Avata 2 supports beginner-friendly motion control, immersive goggles, and a manual-control path for experienced FPV pilots.
Immersive Pilot View
See the aircraft’s camera feed through compatible DJI goggles instead of composing from a conventional controller screen.
DJI Goggles 3 Real View PiP
Check the surrounding environment without removing the goggles by using the built-in camera view.
DJI Goggles N3
Use a roomy headset designed to accommodate glasses without separate diopter adjustment or lens installation.
DJI RC Motion 3
Steer with wrist movement and use the trigger and controls for a more direct introduction to FPV flight.
DJI FPV Remote Controller 3
Add Manual mode for experienced pilots who want to practise and command advanced manoeuvres directly.
Combo Options
Choose the current DJI Avata 2 bundle that matches your preferred goggles and battery count; inclusions vary by offer.
Hold Position Closer to the Ground.
New binocular fisheye sensors support downward and backward visual positioning during low-altitude and indoor flight. The integrated propeller guard surrounds the propulsion system for appropriate close-space operation.
These systems assist the pilot; they do not make every route safe. Maintain visibility, inspect the flight path, and leave enough braking and manoeuvring room.
A Faster Live View Through DJI O4.
DJI O4 can return up to a 1080p/100fps pilot feed with latency as low as 24 ms and a maximum bitrate of 60Mbps under DJI’s stated test conditions.
The published 13 km result is an FCC, open-environment, one-way, non-return test. Actual range depends on local regulations, interference, obstacles, frequency availability, and the need to return safely.
Built-in Recovery for Real Flight Decisions.
Physical protection and software-assisted recovery give the pilot practical options when a route changes or a landing goes wrong.
Integrated Propeller Guard
The updated guard is built into the airframe to protect the propulsion area while keeping the aircraft compact and agile.
Turtle Mode
Flip DJI Avata 2 back into take-off orientation after it lands upside down, when the surrounding area is clear.
Brake and Hover
Release the RC Motion 3 accelerator or press its lock button to stop and hover when an unexpected situation develops.
Automatic Return to Home
Low battery or signal loss can trigger RTH. Confirm signal-loss behaviour before take-off and keep the return route clear.
Up to 23 Minutes, Then Recharge by USB-C PD.
DJI rates Avata 2 for up to 23 minutes when flown forward at 21.6 kph in windless sea-level conditions, with the camera set to 1080p/30fps and video mode off.
Actual flight time changes with speed, wind, temperature, manoeuvres, recording, battery condition, and accessories. PD fast charging helps reduce the wait between sessions.
Move Footage from Flight to Finished Cut.
Onboard storage, wireless viewing, and LightCut tools reduce the number of steps between landing and sharing.
46GB Internal Storage
Store approximately 90 minutes of 1080p/60fps footage in the aircraft’s built-in storage.
Goggles Live-Feed Sharing
Share the DJI Goggles 3 view to a nearby smart device running DJI Fly, subject to local Wi-Fi frequency availability.
Sky VFX
Use captured flight trajectory data to place overlays, animated text, cockpit graphics, and dashboard effects.
One-Tap Edit
Let LightCut identify highlights and match the footage to a suitable template for a useful first cut.
Wireless Preview and Editing
Preview and edit Avata 2 clips over Wi-Fi without downloading every source file to the phone first.
Three-Battery Combo Option
DJI offers bundle choices with additional batteries and a Two-Way Charging Hub; verify the live offer before ordering.
Technical Details Worth Knowing Before Take-Off.
24 Ms Test Latency
DJI measured latency as low as 24 ms using 1080p/100fps in an open, interference-free environment.
60Mbps Maximum Bitrate
The DJI O4 transmission bitrate changes with interference, obstacles, distance, and the operating environment.
Power Accumulation
The optional Two-Way Charging Hub can consolidate remaining energy into the battery with the highest charge.
Gyroflow Workflow
For supported offline stabilisation, DJI says to disable electronic stabilisation before flight and select wide-angle capture.
Wi-Fi Frequency Limits
Wireless screen sharing can be unavailable where 5.1GHz or 5.8GHz use is restricted; check local requirements.
Australian FPV Rules
Outdoor goggles-only flight generally needs an approved model-aircraft association site or specific CASA approval; a spotter alone is not sufficient.
Three FOV Choices
Choose ultra-wide, wide, or normal framing to suit the route and the amount of environment you want visible.
Charging-Hub Safety
Do not connect a charger or external device, or insert or remove batteries, while power accumulation is running.
